Immigration or Nomads?

Immigrants are people who migrate from one country to another. It seems like a normal process if we look at the definition, but is immigration really that simple? Just moving from one place to another? We might as well call them nomads.

For those who don’t know what nomads are, they were communities of people who moved from one place to another, rather than settling down in one location. Immigrants can be viewed as such, but there are harsher realities to the immigrant life, rather than moving from place to place.

Many of these ‘harsher realities’ include the struggle to keep jobs, the starvation for a permanent resident card, the responsibility of keeping their family back home secure, and of course the ever-existing ridicule of discrimination.

In this blog, not only will I, Merossia Hermawan, explain the hardships of immigrant life; I will also go into explicit detail about education for immigrants, discrimination against immigrants, low economical resources for immigrants, low-paid jobs for immigrants, and of course the struggle to get a green card for immigrants. Please leave comments and tell me what you think about my introduction blog for immigrants, and please constructive criticisms only, flaming will not be tolerated.
